This is Rufus! He's my BABY of ALL BABIES! ! He sure does love his Momma! ! And knows it's his job to protect the horses, too! !
I've had Rufus for almost 4 years now and he's been a great addition to the ranch & has become JodyLynn's sidekick!
Great Danes are the most wonderful breed of dogs, although he wasn't exposed to children much when he was a pup (I bought him when he was almost a year old), so he doesn't like children very much. But, that's okay. I know quite a few humans who are that way, too! Tee hee hee! ! !
Rufus Theodore Aloicious passed away on a beautiful Friday morning in July.
JodyLynn found him curled up by his doghouse, peacefully "sleeping" on her way out to do chores that morning. We can only be thankful that he left this world relaxed and at home (exactly how I want to).
He will truly be missed & there will always be a big hole in my heart where Rufus used to be. There could never be another one like you, Rufus! You'll always be "Momma's Boy". I love you!
